I can't believe I haven't blogged in almost a year. What a slacker I am! Life has been too crazy and updating my blog has been on the bottom of my priority list. So many things have happened to our family in the last year. Tanner finished his first season with the Havoc baseball team. We had a great time and became good friends with all on the team. Tanner also started and finished his second year of football. He played a little bit at quarterback, but mostly played at fullback and linebacker. He did awesome and made some good friends. Carter is well, Carter...sometimes he is so bullheaded I want to pull my hair out, but most of the time is a very sweet and loving kid. He started preschool and is loving every minute of it. I can't believe he is starting to read already. Brooklyn is ALL girl, emotions and all. I love to try new things with her hair when she will let me comb her hair. She loves to play with her princesses, dolls and kitchen. All three of my kids are growing up so fast!!! Spencer FINALLY got a full time job in October. We are so greatful for all that we have been blessed with this last year and a half and our family has grown so much for the experiences we have had. Here are a few of the projects I have been working on the last few months.

My friend Amber asked me in the fall to join her scrapbook kit club and this is my latest page kit that I just made.

A friend of mine made dresses like this for her little girls and I thought they were so cute. We were trying to have a neighborhood girls night to make these dresses, but it never worked out. I did make my sister go with me to pic out the fabric because she is awesome at that kind of thing and this is what we picked out. My friend Andrea helped me figure the pattern out and I made one for each of my neices for Christmas, Brooklyns and a baby shower gift. I think it turned out way cute!

I made this dress for a friends baby shower gift.

We now pause this family for baseball!!!

We went to St. George last weekend for Tanner's super league baseball tournament (Herriman Havoc). We did not know what to expect since it is our first year, but we will remember this vacation forever. The boys were guaranteed to play four games in two days. We came close to winning two of the games, but with no such luck. We ended the tournment 0-4. Even though we did not win a game we still a a great time. The kids swam in the hotel swimming pool every spare second they had and the dads even talked them into doing a belly flop contest to win a dollar. What kids won't do for money... One night we decided to go to Snow Canyon and play in the sand. The kids had a blast running all over the sand hills. Brooklyn screamed anytime we tried to put her down because for some weird reason she didn't like the sand. We took some great family pictures. All agree that this was one of the best vacations that we have ever had. Now let baseball season offically begin!

Happy Birthday Carter

I can't believe you are four already!! Carter has been so excited to turn 4. Every morning for the last few weeks he has been asking me "how much more days til my birthday?" We get the calendar out and count down the days, but it is finally here. All he wanted was baseball cupcakes, so I decided to try and make them. I think they turned at pretty good for a rookie. We had a lot of fun making it a really special day for Carter. I am so greatful for this beautiful little boy who brings so many trials and smiles into our home. Happy Birthday little buddy!!!

Christmas day

Christmas morning started out with Tanner waking up before 7 am and dad telling him to go back to sleep for another hour. We had to wake Carter up at 8 am because Tanner could not stand to wait any longer. The kids were so much fun to watch open presents. Then in order for us to go to breakfast at my parents house Spencer had to shovel us out of the blizzard that we were having. The day was a great adventure and a lot of fun! We had a wonderful Christmas!

Let it Snow!!!!

After the wind howling all night long, the first big snowstorm of the season arrived this afternoon. Tanner and Carter were so excited to get outside and play in all the fresh snow. They built a sledding hill in the backyard and had a big snowball fight. After playing outside for two hours we had to make them come inside to get warm. I love how peaceful and white everything is after a big snow storm. Now it is really starting to feel like Christmas.

Thanksgiving treat

Carter wanted to make cupcakes, so I found this idea and thought it would be fun. The kids had a blast making the turkeys, then taking the candy off a little at a time and laughing at how funny the cupcakes looked without a mouth, eyes or feathers. Besides being cute they were really good too!

Football playoffs

Tanner's football team went to the playoffs. They beat Bingham in the first game, but lost to Alta in the championship game on Saturday. I never thought that little league football would be this much fun. We lucked out with great coaches and fun parents. Tanner loved every minute of it, even all the running. He loved starting on defense as cornerback, although he was the third smallest on the team he was their starting tackle on the line and held his own. Spencer could have spent every day at the park watching practice. Thanks for a great season Riverton grey gremlin team!!!
